"The Werewolf's Wife" [A Part of the Beautiful Creatures World] by Michele Hauf

My Book Summary : This book picks up Ridge's story not long after "Her Vampire Husband" ...

Now that Ridge is the Principle (aka the Alpha) of the Northern Pack it's time for him to start acting like it. The first step in doing so is setting a good example by settling down with someone and starting a family of his own. Yet for him to do so he'll need to divorce the woman who became his wife thirteen years ago, they had one wild night together in Las Vegas and then went their separate ways. However, when he goes to see Abigail to have her sign the divorce papers he gets more than he bargained for.

Thirteen years ago, Abigail would have called herself the baddest witch of the Midwest and it would have been true, but times have changed since she became a mother twelve years ago. However, even though she never expected to see Ridge again she knew the day would come at some point and is very thankful that that day happens to be today since she just learned that her son has been kidnapped and she has 48-hours to get something that the kidnappers want for her son. Ridge is like a knight in shining armor to Abigail and for his help in rescuing her son she'll sign the divorce papers. Nevertheless, when all things are said and done will either of them want to say goodbye at the end?

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! This sweet and unique novel is full of twists and action! Even though this book has a slow start, I was intrigued by the dynamics of the life the characters are set in as well as the attraction that blooms off the pages between the main characters! Abigail fights not only the current situation that she's in but also herself in what she thinks is the right course for her and her son against what she wishes would happen for her. While Ridge deals with his own issues from his childhood, their past night together, and what his future might hold.

It all comes together in an adventure-packed book that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys Michele Hauf's novels and/or to anyone who likes paranormal romances!!

"So you're playing for your own team now?" He hitched a sneaky look her way.
"What? You think I'm a--- No, I still like men. Lovers suit me, but a boyfriend? Not on my radar."
"I'm sorry about that. I think being in a relationship would be the best thing for a person's heart and soul. The soul needs love."
"The soul also requires freedom," she responded. ~ within Chapter 3
It was the only thing that made sense if, indeed, no spell had been conjured.
And he could believe she hadn't had time to concoct a spell. He'd wolfed out. She'd zapped him. It all happened within seconds.
On the other hand, Abigail Rowan had lived for centuries. Certainly she had an arsenal of spells on hand, ready to throw immediately should the situation arise.
He prodded the eggs on his plate, wishing for some sausage or bacon, any kind of meat. Vegetarians. He didn't trust them. ~ within Chapter 12
