"Silver Wolf Clan" [Silver Wolf Clan Series, Book 1] by Tera Shanley

Author's Book Description : What happens when monsters turn out to be real? One summer night while camping in the woods, Morgan Carter finds out in a big way. A tall mysterious stranger, Greyson Crawford, risks his life to try and save her sister from the vicious wolf attacking their camp, but when he’s bitten and disappears into the night, Morgan can only assume the worst.

Greyson shows up a year later, and he’s a different animal altogether. The color of his eyes shifts constantly and the rumble in his throat sounds more animal than man. She hasn’t any idea where he’s been all this time, but has a good guess as to what he’s become.

Grey is determined not to let the darkness of his new existence affect the girl he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about. He should stay away and let her live a normal life. That’s easier said than done, though. A new danger pulls him from the shadows to keep her safe, and he’s no wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Can she accept what lurks just below his surface? More importantly, can she survive him?

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!!! Oh my goodness, I LOVED this novel!! In truth, I liked the Author’s Book Description and the name of the title, yet neither really applied to what this novel is about since I was thrown for a loop finding out it’s a whole lot more!!

Grey gets Changed when defending a woman who is trying to save her sister and niece against a monster in the forest. His first six months were hell then he found a local pack and spent six months with them learning to control himself better while learning about pack comradely even though he outranked all of them in dominance and didn’t want/couldn’t join the pack permanently. Then about a year after the attack he sees his mate again, the woman he defended in the woods (Morgan), his world changes for the better in a whole lot of ways. However, can he convince her that he is the “one” for her?

I thoroughly liked that this novel has a beginning and end, with only a few secondary cliffhangers, therefore the reader will never feel disappointed that this novel has to end when it does. Yet, it leaves the reader really excited to see where this series will take us next with a hope that more good things will happen!

Together Grey and Morgan are like a matched set, even before he Changed. Given that when they met in the woods they were both camping in opposite directions in the same park, he hears her screaming and came running to protect her even before they ever meet. Then when they do truly meet for the first time they feel a draw to each other that is hard for to resist. In addition, I liked that even though Grey was lonely, before he sees Morgan again, he never betrays his feelings for her by going with another woman. Then to top that off, I really liked their easy banter and how they created their relationship together in the midst of their lives irrevocably changing.

I HIGHLY recommend this novel and series to anyone who likes paranormal romances!

-- On a side note --
I think my favorite "character" was Wolf or at least reading his commentary. *hahaa* Most of it was gruesome but reading it around Grey's personal thoughts was hilarious!

Book Teaser(s) :
We'll kill them and leave nothing but bone, Wolf spouted. Weak weak weak. You're weak if you allow them to live after they've stepped foot in our home. Our territory. Turn. Let me out and I'll kill them for us. I'll rip their throats out and bleed them, let them go slowly staring at the ceiling of a room they should've known better than to enter. I'll smile at their pathetic breaths as they run rivers of red across my floor.
As mean and dominant as Grey was quiet and submissive, no doubt, Wolf would do it. What a cruel twist of fate that had thrown their two personalities into the same being. ~ within Chapter 2

    1. You're welcome! Thanks for having it on Netgalley! =0)

      Truthfully I loved how you wrote Wolf and Grey ... I think it's the first time I've read a werewolf character where the "beings" sharing the body are so different in personalities but share common goals.
