"His Very Convenient Bride" by Sophie Pembroke

Authors' Book Description : From bridesmaid to bride…

Stepping into her sister’s place at the altar beside gorgeous tycoon Flynn Ashton, Helena Morrison hopes saying ”I do” and uniting their two families will finally be enough to redeem her in her father’s eyes. It has nothing to do with the fact that she’s always held a special place in her heart for her childhood crush!

But after embarking on the perfect Tuscan honeymoon, their paper marriage dissolves to ash as an unexpected heat flares between them… Dare Helena dream that this convenient marriage could be the fresh start they’ve both been searching for?

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars, Helena hopes stepping in as the bride, after her sister takes off, will finally redeem herself in her father eyes to make up for her big mistake. Flynn hopes that this marriage will grow into a lasting relationship while also proving to everyone that he is the right man to take over his family's business. Together they try to come to a mutual understanding and make the most out of their marriage. However, when Helena's past mistake comes to Flynn's attention will everything they've been working toward fall apart, or will it bring them closer?

In truth, I liked the beginning and the ending but everything in the middle was hard to enjoy. While I understand that Helena was ashamed of her past and still had issues over it, if she only spoke up to Flynn sooner about it and the big drama was over Flynn's father hurting their relationship or something along those lines, I might have liked this novel more. Overall, though, I did think Flynn & Helena were cute together.

I only recommend this novel to those who liked "A Groom Worth Waiting For" and/or are fans of Ms. Pembroke.
