My Book Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars. Over the holiday season, Kenny (an ex-pro football player) and Bailey (a widowed mother) are thrown together because Mayor Marsha needs them to help the children’s FWM Sprouts with their holiday service project. In doing so, while it opens them up to a unique romance, it also brings up old trust issues from Kenny’s past. Will they be able to overcome their pasts and have a great future or will friends be the closest they’ll be able to get?While I am a huge fan of Ms. Mallery’s Fool’s Gold Series, this one didn’t capture my interest as greatly as I hoped. However, it kept up with the series’ usual hype with updates from the other characters. In addition, I enjoyed getting to know Bailey, Kenny, and Chloe. They became a sweet family that was intriguing to read about.
Though it wasn’t my favorite novella in this series I did like it and would recommend it to those who are fans of Ms. Mallery looking for a sweet holiday romance.
